LoveLula Beauty Box – February 2018

LoveLula Beauty Box - February 2018

My LoveLula Beauty Box subscription arrived this week.  Something I look forward to each month.  This month’s box contained four items, three of which are full-size products and the total value of the box is £65.  Once again, LoveLula have been really generous.

The Contents

Marara – Exfoliating Oil-to-Milk Scrub

Madara Exfoliating Scrub Oil to Milk 60ml

Madara is a brand that is fairly regularly featured in the LoveLula box.  They have a really wide range of products and I’ve barely scratched the surface in terms of sampling their delights (cannot wait to tell you about my this month’s LoveLula picks – but that’s another post).

This scrub is divine and I love it.  I would even go as far as to say since switching over to green beauty, this is the best facial scrub that I’ve found and that’s a pretty bold statement.  This is a lovely firm scrub that my skin responds well too.  I have other facial scrubs and I’ll continue to use them on a more regular basis because they’re so gentle, but I’ll be adding this to my skincare routine to use a couple of times a week.

It’s described as an oil to milk scrub that, once a splash of water is added, melts the oil into a delicate milk.  Erm, okay…  Despite that flannel (an oil is never going to turn into a milk), I really love this product and I’ll definitely buy it again.  You can buy this product here.

Ooh! – Oils of Heaven Organic Avocado Hydrating Face Oil 30ml

Ooh! - Oils of Heaven Organic Avocado Hydrating Face Oil 30ml

I’ve been using the Ooh! Tamanu oil that came in one of the previous month’s subscription boxes and it’s been a pleasure to use.  I’ve read lots of people have found the smell a bit offputting but I don’t think it smells at all unpleasant.

Organic Avocado oil is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins A, D and E and can thus provide your skin with deep hydration and protection.

I’m wearing this on my skin now, whilst I’m writing this.  It absorbs into the skin really nicely and doesn’t feel like a heavy oil.  I was surprised to read the ingredients list that this only contains one ingredient.  100% Persea Gratissima Oil (avocado oil).  You can’t get more natural than that.  You can purchase this product here.

Pure & Light Organic Essential Face Cream 15ml

Pure & Light Organic Essential Face Cream

I actually have the full-size version of this product (which is 50ml – so I feel like this is a really decent size trial).  This is a really lovely product.  I love the citrusy, fresh smell.  I think this is a lovely light moisturiser, perfect for use during the day.  The second ingredient is Helianthus (sunflower) oil so it is quite an oily product, but I still feel like it absorbs into the skin without leaving your skin feeling oily.

Containing a ground-breaking 27 active certified organic ingredients and naturally rich in vitamins and antioxidants, Pure & Light Organic’s Essential Face Cream deeply penetrates the skin to enhance blood circulation, support oxygenation and collagen production and promote supple younger looking skin.

Yes please to younger looking skin!!  I do like that it’s packed with nourishing ingredients that are going to really revitalise your skin.  You can buy this product here.

UrbanVeda Radiance Hydrating Toner 150ml

UrbanVeda Radiance Hydrating Toner 150ml

This final item is the box is this toner by UrbanVeda.  We had some Urban Veda samples very recently in one of our LoveLula subscription boxes.  They have a lovely range and I enjoyed trying their products.  This one, however, isn’t my favourite.  The second ingredient is “alcohol denat” which isn’t something I want to use on my skin.  It’s used as an astringent, but I find it to be quite drying and feel like it would strip all the natural oils from my skin.  It smells lovely and I’m sure other people will really enjoy using it, it’s just not for me.  This product won’t go to waste, I’ll give it away on my Facebook page.

Naturally formulated to Ayurvedic principles, UrbanVeda’s Radiance Hydrating Toner harnesses the efficacy of powerful botanic extracts and aromatic essential oils to tone, hydrate and revitalise skin. Containing nourishing and brightening botanicals of Turmeric, Papaya and Goji berry, and brimming with antioxidants, this superfruits infusion imparts a luminosity to skin, by balancing pH and helping to tackle hyperpigmentation.

Overall, I’m really pleased with the contents of this month’s box.  My favourite item is the Madara Scrub.  It’s worth way more than the cost of the subscription alone.

I’d highly recommend a LoveLula subscription box.  It’s a great way of discovering gorgeous products for a fantastic price.  You can order yourself one here.

You can see my previous LoveLula boxes here.  Thanks for reading.
