We love LowToxBox subscriptions and always eagerly await their arrival. Tor (from A Girl And Her Giant) also ordered one so we could open them together.

What’s In The Box
We filmed an unboxing video which you can watch if you’re a watcher rather than a reader.
One of the many things I love about the LowToxBox is the variation of products you get inside the boxes. There’s often something to drink, something to eat, something for a happy lifestyle and something beauty related. It’s so varied.
Peakz – Crunchy Chocolate Squares
Yummy!!! Vegan-friendly, palm oil free delicious treats. I really enjoyed these. They were (I say were, mine didn’t last long, to be honest) little squares like the cereal, covered in chocolatier quality Belgian chocolate. I enjoyed mine with a hot drink and a sit-down. Each wholegrain bite is packed with B12 and Iron and is high in fibre making a truly lovely treat that you can totally count as healthy.
T Plus Drinks – Vitamin Super Teas
These teas are packed with daily essential vitamins, so not only do you get a delicious drink, you also get a good, healthy boost of vitamins. Brilliant for this time of year. I don’t know about you, but this darn cold is on his second run through our family! This tea is really delicious, I do like a good cup of herbal tea.
Coco Fusion 100 – Natural Coconut Water Lime
This is a really lovely treat. A fizzy drink that contains only natural ingredients (Coconut water, lime juice 5%, citric acid, natural colour, natural lime flavour). I really like the taste of this. Tor loves everything lime so she was very excited to find this in the box. She was planning to have hers with a shot of gin, but I’m not sure she was able to wait. I think it was a great treat to find inside the box. I do like to have a little shop on the LowToxBox website because you can pick up more of the yummy things that have been in previous
boxes (I got some bargains just before Christmas!).
Macacha – Plant Protein Energy Vanilla
I’m a huge fan of plant-based eating and I’m currently aspiring to be as close to a plant-based vegan as I can get. I think many of us massively overconsume meat and our little planet can’t take it. This one actually contains caffeine, which I personally avoid because I’m extremely sensitive to it, so I haven’t tried it. I do know that my oldest baby (19) will absolutely love this. It’s packed full of fantastic ingredients!
I’m pretty sure Tor will be using her’s in one of the breakfast cakes that she has for breakfast this week. I’ll ask her to tag LowToxBox in it, so keep an eye on their tagged Instagram photos.
Friendly Soap – Shampoo Bar
This shampoo bar smells great. It’s lavender and geranium, which is always going to be a winner, in my eyes (nose). I love the way it’s just packaged in a cardboard box – ideal!
It’s made with natural ingredients and contains no nasties, making especially good for anything with sensitive scalps. MrLovely uses a natural shampoo bar because he gets a terribly dry scalp if he uses toxic shampoo.
We have really hard water in our area so I’ve never had any luck with a solid shampoo with my hair, despite having tried so many different recipes. It’s excellent for short hair but I’ve never had much success with my long hair, sadly. If I can’t make this work on my hair, it certainly will be very well received by MrLovely. A great treat to find in the box!
Re-Sack – Reusable Grocery Bag
This was my absolute favourite thing in the January LowToxBox. I love reusable grocery bags and I always take them with me when I go shopping. There is no way I’m going to be caught using a single-use plastic bag. No, no, no! I was just saying the other day that I thought we needed a few more.
Let me tell you all the reason I adore this bag. Firstly, it has the tare weight on it, very handy. Also, it’s made from organic cotton and it has been made by people that have been paid a fair wage for their work. Yes!
I love the size, I love the colour, I love the little drawstring way it closes at the top. I just love it. I’m planning to buy more. They can even double up as a hat 😉
Excellent work LowToxBox!!
The Soap Connoisseur – Nourishing Ylang Ylang & Calendula Serum
This was Tor’s favourite item in the box. It is really lovely and nourishing. I love that it has calendula petals in it, nice touch and looks really pretty. It smells of ylang-ylang, which is my favourite essential oil (along with frankincense). Calendula is a really healing ingredient to have on your skin. It’s a very lightweight face oil and absorbs into your skin very quickly. It’s a great size to keep in your handbag to use on the go, should you need a little moisture boost during the day.
Nikki Strange – Sheep Valley A5 Notebook
A notebook will always be an awesome item, in my (note)book. Who doesn’t have a huge stationery addiction? Well, my mother doesn’t and is totally baffled about how I can get so excited about a bunch of pens and notebooks. Anyway, my mother aside, this is lovely. I love the picture of the sheep on the hills.
This notebook is made from a 350gsm cover and comes with 36 lined pages. A5 in size, this notebook is perfect to take with you on the go and to slip into your handbag.
We’re proud to announce that this notebook is made from 100% recycled paper stock and is printed with natural vegetable inks making it very eco-friendly and sustainable.
Elsa’s Organic Skin Foods – Ocean Deodorant
Fresh breezy scent with stimulating peppermint boosted with healing antibacterial Tea tree, rose geranium and patchouli. Although this scent is energising it inspires a sense of peace, reflecting the ying and yang of the deep seas.
I’ve been using this deodorant for about 6 months. I love it so it was lovely to find a sample in the box. Obviously, I’m totally sold on this beauty so I’ll be passing the sample on to someone else I think will love it. My tween also uses this same deodorant too. It’s really important to be careful what deodorant you use, particularly because there are some many lymph nodes in that area.
I am completely delighted with my January LowToxBox. If you’d like to buy one, now is a great time – remember the discount code of the beginning of this post. Visit LowToxBox here. Thanks for reading.
