Dafna’s Serenity You

Dafna's Serenity Oil review

Disclosure

I’ve been lucky enough to have been gifted a bottle of the beautiful Serenity You face oil to review.  Here is what I think.

About Dafna

Dafna Shaham, the founder and CEO, has been passionate about natural skincare, and aromas since childhood.  Following on from Dafna’s master’s degree in psychology, she studied herbalism, oriental aromatherapy and product blending.

Dafna summarises skincare as this:

“First, skincare has to be healthy for you, then it has to have real results on your skin, and third, it has to create an emotional experience that allows you to reconnect to yourself”.

Serenity Oil

Serenity Oil by Dafna's - a review

I think the packaging is well thought out.  It’s a recyclable cardboard box containing the beautiful black glass bottle with a pipette dropper.

The first thing I noticed about this oil is how incredible it smells.  I can smell the lavender, the chamomile and the other oils.  The combination is very relaxing.  If you’re not usually an oil lover, I’d still advise you to give this a go because their advanced technology and formulation, they use ingredients such as Squalene (oil emulsifier) or Silica (natural mineral) which make the oil at a molecular level is very light and penetrates the skin in a surprising way.  This means it absorbs into your skin really well.  I’ve found this to be true.

Here is the ingredients list:

How To Use The Oil

“With clean skin, You can follow our wellness ritual.

Apply 5-6 drops of Serenity and warm the oil between the palms of your hands. Then breath deep and enjoy your smell for a few seconds. When you warm the oil in your hands, the aromas of the essential oils will be activated; This translates into a greater feeling of relaxation and greater effectiveness of the product.

Now you can apply the oil on your skin and massage it until completely absorbed. This way you will get the product to penetrate your skin and you can enjoy all its benefits.”

It’s best to use the oil at night because of its calming essential oils, although you can use it whenever you want.  I’ve been wearing my oil all day.

Would I Repurchase This?

It is expensive, but that is because Dafna’s Skincare doesn’t compromise on the ingredients.  I love everything about this face oil, the way it smells (especially the way it smells!), the ingredients (ideal for my skin), the packaging and the brand.  I would repurchase it again, yes.  You can buy yourself some from here.

Thank you for reading.  You can read more of my green beauty posts here.  I recently read this post from Katie about Upcircle so I’m adding that to my want to try next list.
