We had some lovely feedback on our last empties post so I thought we could make it a regular post. I’ve always struggled a little with finishing a product because I don’t like the idea of not being able to reuse it anymore but I’m getting over that because it’s lovely to share what we’ve been really enjoying. Let’s delve right in and see what we’ve finished lately.
Skin Alchemists Sesenne Facial Elixir 10ml
I’m sad to have run out of this beautiful oil. I love that it comes in a dark glass bottle with a pipette dropper top. It’s described as a tropical rainforest in a bottle on the LoveLula website. This oil “is a sophisticated blend of skin-loving elements combined to repair, nourish and rejuvenate skin, while calming sensitivity and revealing a lifted, brightened, glowing complexion.” It definitely improved the look of my skin, I would say and I could really smell the tamanu oil in it. It’s such a beautiful oil. I’ll repurchase it when I’ve made my way through my other oils. You can buy it here.
PHB Ethical Beauty – Balance Face Wash 100ml
Lis and I both really love this cleanser. It’s lasted us a long time considering she uses it twice a day and I use it once a day. This comes in a glass bottle with a pump-action top. The fragrance is a lovely mild lavender smell. We’ve purchased a similar cleanser from PHB Ethical Beauty because we both really enjoy using their products. You can buy this one here. It says it’s a foaming face wash on the description but I didn’t find it foamed (I’m always suspicious of things that foam). This cleanser says it’s formulated for people with oily skin, blemishes and acne.
Kimberly Sayer Tangerine & Calendula Healing Light Organic Night Cream 60ml
I always repurchase this when it runs out because I never want to be without it. If my skin is playing up, this is my go-to evening skin moisturiser. I wish it came in a glass jar though, alas not, it’s plastic. This also smells mildly a little like a curry powder but it’s certainly not unpleasant. “Recommended for balancing oily and blemished skin, healing acne scars, hyperpigmentation and sun damage, supporting collagen metabolism, brightening and nourishing the skin. Suitable for oily and acne skins.” You can see this product here.
Ayumi Fairness Daily Night Cream 50ml
Yes to this! It smells amazing! We’ve already repurchased this product. Ayumi is a really affordable brand, made here in the UK. This comes in a plastic squeezy tube. “Designed to repair, plump and rehydrate overnight, our Ayurvedic blend of nourishing botanicals and peptides adds radiance, glow and luminosity for all skin types” You can buy this here.
Weleda Plant Gel Toothpaste 75ml
I really like this toothpaste. I’ll be repurchasing it once it’s back in stock. The taste of it is lovely and I really like the texture too. “Natural cleansing and protection for delicate gums. This unique combination of plant extracts helps to balance the normal functions of the mouth.” You can see the whole Weleda range from here.
Botanicals Foot Rescue Balm 150g
I finished this quite a while ago but kept forgetting to include it in my empties. This balm was gorgeous! I’d like it to have come in a glass jar, but this one is plastic. The large size of the pot gets my vote! I love the way it smelt (tea tree and mint) and it was a perfect consistency, in my opinion. My feet felt amazing after using it. I used it at night at kept some socks on overnight to keep the moisture in. You can see the Botanicals range here.
The Castilian Soap Company – Castilian Soap Tea Tree 250ml Limited Edition Clear Bottle
This is a nice soap. It doesn’t have an especially strong smell, but you can smell the tea tree in it. I like to use the pump-action bottles so I used this to refill a bottle I already had. I’ve used this brand of soaps before in the past and I like them. “Natural Castile Soap with Tea Tree Essential Oil is a true liquid soap made from an organic castile soap base with natural vegetable oils of the finest quality. Enriched with Tea Tree Oil, a known natural antiseptic, this soap is particularly suitable for skin conditions such as acne and psoriasis.” You can see their products here.
UrbanVeda Purifying Exfoliating Facial Polish 125ml
This is our third tube of this exfoliator and we’ll be repurchasing it again when we need another. It smells mildly of mint. It’s a pleasant smell. It comes in a squeezy plastic tube. This product is said to be pore refining and deep cleansing for oil-prone skin. “This award-winning revitalising scrub contains natural Pumice to exfoliate, cold-pressed Neem oil and refreshing Spearmint to remove impurities and treat blackheads.” You can see this product here.
Thanks so much for reading my empties post. I’ll share another with you again soon.
