Sukin SPF30 Sheer Touch Face Sunscreen Review

Sukin SPF30 Sheer Touch Face Sunscreen Review

Disclosure

I get the What’s New Wednesday newsletter from LoveLula each week and when I saw that Sukin had brought out a new SPF30 tinted sunscreen I knew I just had to get it and review it for you.  Sukin is such a great, affordable brand so I had high hopes for this.  I use many of their products each week, as does my teenage daughter.

About Sukin

Back in 2007, Sukin was born in Melbourne, Australia to offer effective, sustainable and affordable natural skincare.

Sukin is an Australian award-winning brand that’s a carbon-neutral company.  All of their products are cruelty-free and vegan and they use 98.8% natural ingredients.

So, this product comes in a plastic squirty tube, inside a cardboard box.  There is a slight fragrance to the product but it’s certainly not unpleasant.  It doesn’t smell like a fragrance that’s been added and looking at the ingredients list there hasn’t been anything added for fragrance either.

It comes in three different shades.  I chose light/medium because my skin is really pale.  It also comes in medium/dark and also untinted.

This product is naturally created and contains no synthetic fragrances (as I just mentioned), no animal derivatives, no harsh detergents, no propylene glycol, no MEA/DEA/TEA, no oxybenzone, no mineral oils, no petroleum, no octinoxate, no phthalates, no triclosan, no sulphates, no parabens, no silicones and no EDTA.

It’s reef safe so you can go swimming wearing it, safe in the knowledge that you’re not harming the reefs or the sea life.

Applying The Product

When I first squirted some out on my finger, I thought the product was going to be too dark for me but it blended in beautifully.  The coverage it gave me was, as it says, very sheer.  It doesn’t sit on my skin and it absorbs in really well.  It’s really lightweight and doesn’t feel at all sticky or claggy as with some sunscreens.  It doesn’t leave a white cast at all, which pleases me greatly.  Here is how it looks on my skin.

As you can see, my skin looks as though I have nothing on it.  Having been using this product for around six weeks, I’m really pleased with how it’s working for my skin.  I haven’t burned in the time I’ve been using it.  It does say on the box that you need to reapply the product every two hours, as with most mineral sunscreen, or more frequently if sweating or if you’re swimming because the product isn’t water-resistant.

My Overall Thoughts

I really like this product.  It’s similar to the Madara CC Cream but with a higher SPF.  I’ll definitely continue to use this product because I love how it feels on my skin and doesn’t make me feel hot and like my skin can’t breathe.  I recommend this.  You can purchase it from here.
