When Madara, one of my favourite brands, launched a makeup collection I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. As soon as it landed on LoveLula I was there! Here are my findings.
Soft Glow Foundation
This foundation comes in a glass bottle with a pump-action top inside a cardboard box. The foundation has an SPF of 15 and comes in 10 different shades. It’s Eco-Cert (certified organic), nut-free, gluten-free, cruelty-free and vegan-friendly.
“Meet the foundation that is perfectly equal to your skin.
Born from organic skincare expertise, this light as air mineral foundation worships your skin and shares your values.
The zen-equilibrium of soft glow and adjustable coverage creates a smooth, seamless and naturally-radiant skin finish that barely looks made-up.”
I’ve been using this for around a month now and have worked out the perfect amount to use. Having moisturised, you need two pumps to generously cover your face and neckline. It’s medium coverage that is buildable, I would say. It looks really natural on and I’m happy with the finish it gives. It’s the best foundation I’ve found so far. It doesn’t sit in your pores and blends in beautifully. I apply it with my fingertips and that works really well for me.
I have fair skin and am wearing the shade #20 Ivory.
Luminous Perfecting Concealer
This is a groundbreaking concealer, in my opinion. It’s really hard to find a non-sticky, good coverage concealer yet Madara have pulled one out of the bag!
This concealer comes in a narrow glass bottle with a stick applicator with a spongey end, inside a cardboard box. It’s creamy in consistency and a dream to use.
As with the foundation, this product is also certified organic, nut-free, gluten-free and vegan-friendly.
“This natural certified concealer hides dark circles, blemishes and redness yet mystically remains unseen. The dewy finish and long-lasting comfortable wear is powered by hydrating hyaluronic acid and smart retouching minerals.”
I choose the exact right shade for my skin tone, which was #25 Latte. It comes in 6 different shades. Like with the foundation, I applied this using my fingers and applied it under my eyes. It lasted all day though I did notice it had sat in my undereye wrinkles a tiny bit by the end of the day.
Here is how both the foundation and concealer looked at the very end of a long day.
They both lasted really well and I think they’ll continue to be the first thing I reach for when I’m doing my makeup.
