My August 2021 Favourites

My August 2021 Favourites

Disclosure

I wanted to write an August 2021 Favourites because I had such a great month and I want to share with you all what I’ve been enjoying.  I discovered new things, new places, new products.  It’s been a fantastic month for me.

New Food/Drinks

My very favourite drink is boba tea.  A delicious fruit tea with little bubbles of fruit juice.  This one is passionfruit tea with strawberry bubbles.  There are so many different varieties but this one was one of the most delicious drinks I’ve ever had!  Since having this one in Crawley, I’ve been on a quest to get more flavours of bubble tea and have just ordered a box full of them to try at home.

Another delicious discovery we made in Crawley was Five Guys.

Five Guys burger, fries and milkshake

Not at all healthy but very possibly the tastiest burger I’ve ever had!  We had them delivered and our fries were cold but I’ve heard raving reviews about how good their fries are.

Another wonder food discovery for my August 2021 Favourites is Wagamama.  I know how very late I am to the party on this one, but I had my first Wagamama dish, tantanmen beef brisket ramen, a couple of weeks ago.  The broth was gorgeous!  I can’t wait to try one of their rice dishes because I love rice.

Lastly, we tried some great doughnuts whilst we were in Brighton., wandering around The Laines.  They were from a place called Dum Dum Donutterie.  We ate them for our lunch whilst we were sat on the beach.  Delicious.  They were quite pricey but worthwhile.  It’s not like we visit there every week.

This concludes my food and drink section of my August 2021 Favourites.

TV Shows

Virgin River TV series

Virgin River is a super cheesy American tv series that started in 2019.  They’re not long released Season 3 which, once again, had me hooked.  The scenery is amazing, the people are loveable and the storyline is just lovely.  I don’t want to say too much about it because it don’t want to spoil it for you but if you love a romance, give it a watch.  That’s about the only thing I’ve watched lately.  I’ve not been in much of a TV watching mood.

Beauty

Tam organic

I’ve been using the most beautiful body scrub.  It’s a Rose Damascena Body Scrub by Tam Mason.  The packaging is beautiful.  It comes in a lovely jar with a wooden scoop for easy dispensing of the scrub.  Packed with natural and mostly organic ingredients, it’s been keeping my skin nourished and gently exfoliated whilst I’ve had a month of splashing about in swimming pools and at the beach.  I’ve also been using their hand scrub on my hands as I do suffer from dry skin and they need some pampering once a week.  I highly recommend giving these a go.

I also loved the August LoveLula Beauty Box, as always, and I wrote a post dedicated to my LoveLula picks, which you can read here.

Books

Just Haven't Met You Yet by Sophie Cousens review

I haven’t read as much as I normally would either this summer.  I’ve just been so busy going on holiday and weekends away and days out.  It’s been such a great month.  I did receive a copy of this book though and thoroughly enjoyed it.  Set in Jersey, this book came with a little map so I could visualise where places are in the story.  I read this book in the space of a few evenings.  You can pick yourself up a copy here.

We’re not even halfway through September and I’m already reading, watching, using the products and trying new things so keep your eyes peeled for next month’s favourites list.  Thanks for reading.
