Lavera Makeup – My Review

Lavera Makeup - My Review

One of the very first green beauty brands I tried was Lavera and I still use their products some five years later.  Lavera is a German company that’s been running for over 25 years.  They’ve become an expert in their field and pride themselves on being a pioneer in green beauty.

When I was given the opportunity to sample some of their makeup products from their new Spring range, I jumped at the chance.  Here are my thoughts.

Due to the new blogger rules, as I was gifted this, I’m obliged to tell you it’s an ad.  Not completely sure how a review is an advert, but there you go.

Soft Liquid Foundation in Ivory Light 01

Lavera Soft Liquid Foundation

“Lavera Soft Liquid Foundation Ivory Light 01 has a skin-caring anti-pollution formulation giving the skin a new radiance. The light to medium coverage helps cover small imperfections and creates a fresh, even complexion.

The Green Anti-Pollution Complex contains natural anti-oxidants and organic algae to protect skin cells from air pollution and counteracts the effects of free radicals leading to a fresh, radiant skin.”

Green beauty foundations can be hit and miss, especially when you’re in your late 30s and there are more imperfections to disguise.  This is a great colour match for my skin.  It goes on well and blends in nicely.  I apply this with my fingers and then blend it out with a brush.  It looks great.  I’m really impressed with it.  It gives a light to medium coverage and is a really natural looking finish.  I rarely wear anything heavier than a tinted moisturiser so I’m really pleased with this.  You can see this product here.

New Lavera Beautiful Mineral Eyeshadow – Matt’n Coffee

New Lavera Beautiful Mineral Eyeshadow - Matt'n Coffee

My teenage daughter uses Lavera as her main eyeshadow and, having used them before, I had high hopes for this.  It’s a lovely shade.

As you can see, it’s beautifully pigmented.  It goes on really well without dragging on my skin.  It blends in beautifully both alone and with other shades.  You can read more about this product here.

Natural Definition Mascara

Natural Definition Mascara

The thing I like the most about this mascara is the wand.  It’s short and stubby but made with what looks like spiky rubber.  It coats my lashes really well without forming clumps.  It’s long lasting and there’s no fall out from it.

You can shop for Lavera mascaras here.  I couldn’t find the exact one I have on their website but there are similar ones.

Lavera Brilliant Care Lipstick Q10 – Light Hazel

Lavera Brilliant Care Lipstick Q10 - Light Hazel

“Lavera Brilliant Care Lipstick in Light Hazel with a subtle sheen and colour keeps lips soft and smooth. The organic lipstick contains the Lavera Q10 active ingredient complex comprising of five powerful natural ingredients to help counteract the signs of ageing which is a must-have for captivating lips.”

I think this is my favourite product.  It feels like a lip balm on my lips.  It’s a really natural shade, almost the exact same colour as my lips are naturally so it really just enhances them and makes them look really natural.  You can see this product here.

Here is my finished look:

I added my own eyeliner and a smidgen on blush because I look a bit ghostly without it, but here’s the finished look.  I’m really happy with it.  I think it’s a great everyday look.

Thank you to Lavera for the makeup and for collaborating with me on this.  You can read more of my green beauty posts here.
