It’s been ages since I last updated you with my clean and green beauty makeup routine so I thought I’d pop on and share a spring makeup one with you about what I’m wearing. I buy most of my makeup from LoveLula but I’ll share with you the links to everything I use, as usual. Here it is.
After I’ve put my base on, which is generally a spritz with floral water like this one, hyaluronic acid and a moisturiser or a primer, depending on how my skin is looking, I’ll go in with a CC Cream. This is the one I use:
Madara City CC Cream (Light)
I sometimes use this BB Cream too (I use the shade moonflower which works perfectly with my pale skin). I love both products but I find the CC Cream has a slightly more matte finish, not that it makes a difference because I use a finishing powder over the top. The CC Cream has SPF in it, as does my daily moisturiser.
Madara Skin Equal Soft Glow Foundation – #20 Ivory
If I’m looking for a heavier coverage, this is the foundation I use. A natural foundation that doesn’t sit in your pores was really hard to find when I made the switch to clean beauty but this one is brilliant. Madara have pulled it out of the bag with their makeup range. There’s nothing I haven’t loved yet.
Emani HD Bamboo Setting Powder
Once I’ve applied my cream base (which I use clean fingers to apply), I then use this HD bamboo setting powder. I only ever need a little but I find adding this makes my base last all day. I use the Inika Kabuki brush (that I got with this set) to apply my powder.
Soul Tree Kajal – Pure Black 011
I then apply my eyeliner (or kajal in this case). I have two eyeliner products that I love. This one is the eye kajal. I apply this before my eyeshadow because I can be quite heavy-handed with it and blend it out when I apply my eyeshadow. I am so fussy with eyeliners. I like it to last all day and not smudge. This one is great!
Ilia Clean Line Gel Liner
I love that you never have to sharpen this gel liner. It goes on beautifully and doesn’t drag as pencils can yet it far more forgiving than an actual gel liquid liner.
RMS Beauty Eye Polish – Lucky
LoveLula carry a few shades of this eye polish. I have the shade Lucky, which as you can see is like a goldy-bronze shade. I love wearing this, it’s so easy to apply a little with your fingers.
Inika Pressed Mineral Eye Shadow Duo – Gold Oyster
A fellow blogger, Green Life In Dublin, recommended this one to me. We often do collaboration videos on YouTube. Anyway, I love this duo, it’s so pretty and shimmery. It’s buildable too, so you can wear this to be as subtle or as dramatic as you like.
Hiro Mascara in Deep Black
I’ve had this mascara for a while now and it’s great. I have pretty rubbish eyelashes and this mascara can even make mine look more voluminous. You can check out the Hiro section here but it hasn’t been in stock for a while. I also have a 100% Pure mascara that is pretty fab. Okay, this is the eyes done.
TanOrganic Duo Bronzer
I can’t remember where I got this bronzer from but it appealed to me because it comes in a wooden container with no plastic. It is a lovely shimmery one. You can get it from here but it comes with quite a hefty price tag. I’d recommend this one from Emani (I love Emani!). Also, I forgot to photograph my blusher. I use this one (Emani Mosaic Blush in the shade Key Largo).
Absolution Sweet & Safe Kiss Lipstick
I love the feel of this lipstick. It feels almost like a lip balm, it’s so easy to wear. I love that. I chose quite a pinky shade because it feels very spring-like.
Thanks for reading (I know it’s quite a long post, but ya know, I love makeup! Keep your eyes peeled on my YouTube channel because we have a new video coming at the end of this week about beauty favourites.
