PLEASE NOTE, I AM PART OF THE LOVELULA ACCREDITED BLOGGER PROGRAMME, THEREFORE, THIS POST IS AN AD, IT ALSO CONTAINS AFFILIATE LINKS
My choices from LoveLula this month are all about the base! I choose two products and have been using them for the last couple of weeks so I can let you know how I’m getting on.
Emani Deluxe Creme Foundation Fair
Emani is the brand to watch at the moment. They recently were at London Fashion week and their makeup products are amazing. Very recently, I was lucky to sample a few of their products and I was so chuffed with them, I choose this as one of my monthly product selections.
So, the packaging is a black plastic case with a white lid with the Emani logo on it. Opening it up, you find a mirror, an applicator sponge and a very clever hinge design keeping the sponge and the foundation cream separate from each other.
I chose the cream foundation in the shade fair. I wish I’d bought it in light because it is very, very fair.
I did find it settles in my pores and lines a little but I blended it out with a brush and used the finishing powder and I was really happy with the finished look. It’s really easy to use.
PHB Ethical Beauty Pressed Mineral Finishing Powder
I adore the fact that this product comes in completely eco-friendly packaging and is fully recyclable. It’s a cardboard compact that closes with a magnet, with a mirror inside and the pressed powder. PHB is a family business and 20% of their profits go to charity.
This finishing powder uses light-reflecting minerals which illuminises your skin and leaves a beautiful, shimmering but very subtle finish. You can barely see it on my swatch but it’s there. It’s really natural looking.
This is exactly what I was after. Good, clean ingredients. Great brand and a great product.
Here’s the finished base with just these two products on.
I finished my makeup with more Emani cosmetics, a swish of eyeliner and a pop of lip colour.
Thanks for reading. Hope you’re enjoying the sunny weather that we’re having at the moment.
