The November LoveLula Box arrived on Saturday. This month is a good one! I know I said that last time, but it really is another cracker. The contents are worth around £60, thus making it a huge bargain as the subscription box starts at just £13.95.
Inika Vegan Lipstick – Naked Kiss £18
Inika products are quite a recent discovery for me and I’m really enjoying them. This month’s box included a full-sized lipstick in the shade, Naked Kiss. I was so excited to find this in the box. It’s a gorgeous lipstick, feels lovely on and is very easy to wear (as in easy to apply, no need for a lip liner and feels hydrating). It’s quite a neutral shade that reminds me a little of a Rimmel shade I used to wear as a teenager (Heather Shimmer! Retro!). The packaging is beautiful.
Laidbare – Working 9 to 5 Anti-Ageing Cream 50ml £7.99
Again, this is a full-size product. I’ve been using this moisturiser all week and I really like it. It smells heavenly – a hint of rose. It absorbs into my skin really quickly and leaves my skin feeling really soft and smooth. I would absolutely buy this product. I’ve been hearing great things about other Laidbare products so I think I’ll be exploring their products more in the future.
The Seaweed Bath Co – Shampoo & Conditional – Trial Sachets
I will say that these products both smell amazing. The eucalyptus and peppermint are really refreshing and I loved getting whiffs of them throughout the day after I’d washed my hair. Okay, here’s the thing; There are no ingredients listed on the sample sachets, but the shampoo foamed up. Actually foamed!! This, to me, is never a good sign. There’s clearly an ingredient in there that’s a synthetic foaming agent. It also left my hair squeaky clean. To me, this is also a bad sign. It stripped all the natural oils from my hair and I suspect the conditioner plasticised it because it was suspiciously tangle-free following the use of conditioner. I’d like to be wrong, but I suspect this isn’t as natural as I like my hair products to be and I won’t be purchasing this particular brand.
Madara Smart Antioxidants Anti-Fatigue Eye Rescue Cream 15ml – £31
If this month’s subscription box contained nothing other than this eye cream, I’d have still been happy. That’s an indication of how much I like this eye cream!
SMART EYE CARE. Anti-fatigue eye rescue cream. Hydrates, firms and brightens. Reduces fine lines, dark circles and puffiness.
It’s probably not a good thing that I’ve never before used an eye cream – my mother would be horrified! She’s always encouraged me to take care of my skin and moisturise (should have listened before reaching my 30s!). I’m very conscious of my wrinkles that are forming, so anything to delay them is going to be a winner for me. I’m really enjoying using this eye cream. I do end up wiping it around my whole face, mind you. Might need to adjust the amount I’m squeezing from the tube…
REN Perfect Canvas – Skin Enhancing Priming Serum – Sample
I haven’t actually tried this yet. From what I’ve read, it looks to be a good product. Apparently, there’s enough for two applications in this little tester tube. Here’s what the LoveLula says about it:
This light textured, silicone-free serum is perfect to use after moisturiser. Pro-biotics smooth the skin and enhance skin’s structure by encouraging surface cell renewal, whilst the Agave extract helps leave skin with a matte finish – the perfect canvas upon which to apply makeup.
Sounds very lovely. I’ll give it a go at the weekend, I’ve just been really enjoying the other products this week and I’ve only worn makeup twice so I haven’t remembered to sample it.
Tor (from A Girl And Her Giant) and I filmed an unboxing video, which I’ll link below. If you’d like to order yourself a LoveLula box (and I highly recommend you do, obviously) or would like to buy any of the products in this month’s box, here is the link. Thanks for reading.
