I recently repurchased Weleda Skin Food from LoveLula. It’s a beauty essential for me, along with many other people, and I’ll tell you why.
Weleda has been around since 1921, founded by a Dutch doctor, an Austrian philosopher and a chemist and pharmacist from Munich. It started as a pharmaceutical laboratory, with its own medicinal plant garden, is today a world-leading manufacturer of holistic natural cosmetics as well as pharmaceuticals for anthroposophical therapy.
Since it was established, Weleda has followed aims which sprang from its founding principles. The products are intended to support people in their personal development, in maintaining, promoting and restoring their health and in their efforts to achieve physical well-being and a balanced lifestyle.
I’ve been using their products for a long time and am a big fan of theirs. Their deodorant and tooth pastes are among some of my favourite products.
“The original Weleda miracle cream for dry and rough skin”. I first happened upon this cream in a previous Beauty Box a few years ago and it’s been a staple in my life ever since. It comes in its original form and as a light version. It comes inside a plastic squeezy tube, inside a cardboard box. The cream smells citrusy and lovely. It’s a really rich and thick formula as you can see in the photo below.
Whilst it is a thick cream, it does absorb into the skin really well very quickly. It’s great for use everywhere but it’s a little thick to use as a daily facial moisturiser, I know this before I’ve tried using it as a daily moisturiser before. It would be great as a thick nighttime moisturiser, especially during the winter. My stepdaughter gets really bad patches of eczema around her temples and it works wonders on that.
This is a perfect cream to reach for if you’ve got dry hands or feet or elbows, for example. I find it the perfect all-rounder. I’d highly recommend you purchasing some as a beauty staple for in your collection.
Thanks for reading and I wish you all a Happy New Year for 2021.
