Happy International Women’s day! Today is the 8th of March which means it is International Women’s day and the hashtag this year is #pressforfrogress. My blog post today is about Inspirational Young Women.
I will be starting off with an incredible young woman. Mala Yousafzia was born on the 12th of July 1997. As a young girl, Mala spoke out against the Taliban and fort for the right for all girls to have an education. During that time Mala also received the Nobel Peace Award. In 2012 she was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman on the way home for school. Luckily Mala survived and published her first book ‘I am Mala’. I think Mala is an inspirational woman because she never gives up and always tries to do what is best for everyone. She is also quite an intelligent person who always treats people fairly no matter what their backgrounds are, as well as that she always tries to please people.
The second person I think is inspirational is Emma Watson was born on the 15th of April 1990 in Paris. Emma is a well-known actor and has played in many different movies like; Hermione Granger in Harry Potter, Belle in Beauty and the Beast and so much more From 2011 to 2014, Emma divided her time between working on film projects and continuing on her education. I think Emma Watson is an inspirational woman because of how strongly she believes in what she thinks.
I know there are many more Inspirational Young Women that I could blog about but we must also remember to be our own heroes.
The t-shirt that I’m wearing in this blog post is from Teespring. I love the design and the fit of it. It’s really nice quality. My mum got one from there last year and she’s wearing it today.
Thanks for reading.
