LoveLula Box Januray 2018 - green beauty subscription box

I’m going to start by telling you about the first item in the box, which is bittersweet for me, but very good for you.  It’s a blooming good one!

MOA – Magic Organic Apothecary Fortifying Green Bath Potion 100ml

MOA bath potion

When I opened the box and saw there was an MOA tube in there, not gonna lie, a bit of wee nearly did come out!  (The MOA Green Balm was on my top list of 2017).  On closer inspection, I read that this is a bath potion, which broke my heart a little bit.  We have no bath – boo!  I miss having a bath every week.  Who rips out a bath and replaces it with a shower?  Barbaric!  So… I can’t use this product because it’s too cold to chuck this fish out of their pond for me to take it over as a bath.  Not that I’d actually ever do that.  I do really miss having a bath though.

It’s good for you because I’m going to give it away to one very lucky reader!  Details at the bottom of this post.

Laidbare Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow! Hair Minimising Cream 125ml

Laidbare moisturiser

This is really convenient because I do actually need a moisturiser for my legs.  About the hair minimising thing though, I haven’t shaved my legs for a good few months.  Firstly, why does society dictate that it’s normal for women to shave their legs?  Why don’t men shave their legs?  Why do women feel like they need to shave off their body hair?  It really confuses me.  Secondly, no one sees my legs except MrLovely and he’s at one with me looking like something out of Gorillas In The Mist.  I do keep my lady garden very trimmed, mind you.  That’s more for hygiene reasons though (okay, also for aesthetics – shut up…).

Right, yes, I’m supposed to be reviewing the product, not waffling away about pubes.  I wasn’t expecting the moisturiser to look the way it does.  It comes out like an opaque, viscous gel, which I thought was interesting.  I had to check the tube to make sure it was a moisturiser and not a shaving emollient or a cleanser.  I like the way it smells, which also isn’t what I expected.  It’s a natural, almost aniseedy, citrusy smell.  Sorry for being so rubbish at describing smells.  It is a lovely smell and it feels really cooling and soothing to apply.  When this runs out, I’ll buy it again, which is a good sign.  It’s a great price too, at just £6.99.  See it here.

PHB Ethical Beauty Brightening Eye Gel with Organic Eyebright & Neroli 15ml

PHB eye cream

I was surprised to find an eye cream in the box because we had one in our November box but I wasn’t disappointed because I love PHB as a brand.   I haven’t had an eye cream as a part of my skincare routine until very recently so it’s been good trying this.  I find the PHB products always smell incredible and this one is no exception.  I think it’s the neroli.  With this eye cream, I always take too much out.  It’s a little tube containing just 15ml but you only need the teeniest little blob for both of your eyes.  It does absorb in really quickly.  It’s the only moisturiser I’ve worn on my skin today (since I always put too much on, it does my whole face…).  You can read more about this eye cream here.

Madara Time Miracle Total Renewal Night Cream 20ml

Madara Total Renewal night cream

I bought a night cream the week prior to my box arriving, but it’s fine because this one is quite different.  The smell, again (sorry about talking about the smells so much, but I’ve had a cold for over a week and I can finally smell again and everything smells so good!!) is really natural and herb-esque.  It’s a really light cream and absorbs into really well.  My skin felt quite silky after applying this.  I look forward to trying this more.  You can read more about it, or buy it from here.

Please do enter the competition below.  Good luck.

Nicola, one of the girls on the LL facebook group uses the moa in the shower putting some on arms/chest and letting the steam work it’s magic! It’s one of my favourite products…ever so I’m delighted to have it back in my stash!

Thanks for more details of the items in the beauty box! ? The hair minimising moisturiser sounds great. I haven’t tried anything in mine yet, although I have used the eye gel before. I have entered the competition too, if I win, I’m going to give the bath potion to my mum. ☺️

All those things sound amazing! Enjoy – and it’s a lovely thing to do to sacrifice the bath potion; we lived without a bath for a few years and I missed it too.

The hair minimising moisturiser sounds interesting. I’m with you on the bath thing – when we moved into our current house a year ago, it did not have a functioning bath and I really missed having a bath. Showers are fine for getting clean, but definitely not relaxing. However, last week a friend of ours installed a new bath so I can finally indulge.

What a fab range of products, not sure if my favorite is the bath elixir or the brightening eye cream. I dont think Ive had any creams containing neroli.

Awww I feel for you with the bath situation! My last house only had a shower & I missed having a bath so much.. I find it good for me when I’m struggling mentally! Some really great products there, the Laid Bare moisturiser sounds amazing!

I haven’t got a bath either and really miss a relaxing soak in the bath. But we do try and get away a few times over the year so I always pick a b&b with a gorgeous bath. Then I can indulge myself. Love all the natural ingredients you can’t beat mother nature. ??

Looks like an amazing pack, I would love to give the products a go. I promised myself I would start to look after myself this year and this would be a great start.

I much prefer a bath to a shower & it’s not right if there isn’t any bubble bath in it! What a fab review. This would be ever so lovely!

I’m so glad you said about having the bath ripped out and replaced with a shower – we did this too and had our downstairs bathroom changed into a utility room….I miss the bath so much. I really didn’t think I would but I do. Nice to know it’s not just me…I miss long, luxurious bubble baths.
